These are the rules of the Game Factory live quiz. They apply to every player in every game. If a rule changes for a particular game, you'll be told before that game starts, never during it and never after.
1. Before the game
Joining
- Games are announced in the Game Factory MV group on Telegram.
- The game runs inside Telegram. You don't need to download an app or create an account.
- You play as yourself, from one Telegram account. One person, one entry.
- You must be 18 or over to take part.
The waiting room
- Every game opens with a waiting room and a countdown to kickoff.
- When the countdown reaches zero, the game begins and the doors close.
- You cannot join a game once it has started. Everyone plays the same questions at the same time, so late entry isn't possible.
2. Playing a round
- Each question appears on every player's screen at the same moment, with a countdown.
- In a Speed Round you race through your own run of questions, one after another, inside the round's shared time.
- You tap one answer. Your answer is locked in as soon as you tap it.
- When a question's time ends, answers close.
- An answer that reaches us after the close does not count.
3. The rounds
The screen announces each round before it plays.
- Grace Round: answer in time and you are safe, wrong answers are forgiven.
- Speed Round: quick questions back to back, most correct answers survive.
- Sudden Death: correct or you are out.
- Fastest Finger First: one question, the fastest correct answer wins.
- In every round, not answering knocks you out. Silence is an elimination.
How the Speed Round works
Quick questions, back to back. Every question gives you 10 seconds.
The moment you answer, the next question appears. You do not wait for anyone. If the clock runs out, that question counts as wrong and the next one comes anyway.
After each answer your pick glows green or red, so you know how you are doing. The correct answers are revealed at the end of the round.
Finished all the questions? Sit tight. The round ends when every player is done.
How you survive
Your score is the number you got right. Speed does not win this round, the clock is only there to push you.
When the round closes, the players with the fewest correct answers go out, and the host decides how many before the round starts. There is no score to reach. You just need to finish above the bottom, and if you are tied at the cut line you both stay.
If nobody wins Fastest Finger First
Sometimes nobody gets the Fastest Finger First question right. When that happens the question does not count and another one follows.
If you answered, you stay in. If you said nothing, you are out. It repeats until somebody wins.
Being eliminated
- You're told straight away, on your own screen, at the end of the round.
- You can keep watching the rest of the game live.
- Once you're out, you're out for that game. There's no buy-back and no second life.
4. Winning
- The game continues until a winner is decided.
- If a round eliminates every remaining player at once, the game ends with no winner, and that is announced on screen.
- The prize for a game is announced before that game begins.
5. If something goes wrong
Live games have live problems. What we will not do is let one of ours cost you your place.
- If a problem on our side affects a round, that round is cancelled and replayed. Nobody is eliminated by it.
- If a game has to be paused, the clock stops for everyone equally.
- If a game cannot be finished at all, we say so and explain what happens next.
- Your own connection is your own risk, but any answer that already reached us is safe and counts.
6. Fair play
- While a question is open, nobody can see how the room is answering. Not players, not people watching, not us.
- The questions and their answers are locked in before a game starts and cannot be changed once it's running.
- Every answer is stored the moment it arrives and counted exactly once.
- Answering on someone else's behalf, using more than one account, or sharing answers during a live question is cheating, and gets that account removed from the game.
- Every game leaves a complete record. If a result is ever questioned, we go back to that record, not to anyone's memory.
7. The Game Master
The Game Master hosts the show. He does not decide who stays in. Eliminations and the winner come from the recorded answers, and from nothing else.
8. Questions about a result
If you think a result is wrong, tell us in the Game Factory MV group or message us on Telegram, and say which game and which round. We'll check it against the record and answer you.
